Guest opinion: Don’t use DEI as a scapegoat for bad business decisions
Maybe it is Halloween right around the corner or the mixed economic messages coming from every angle, but as summer fades into fall, there is a lot of strangeness in the marketplace. One of the oddest things I am seeing and hearing is diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) being used as a scapegoat for everything from strident partisan politics to layoffs and downsizing notices.
