RALEIGH – Earlier today, Schneider Electric officially launched the company’s latest facility in the Triangle.

Known as RaleighHub, the brand new 65,000-square-foot hybrid facility will consolidate the company’s two prior locations in Knightdale and Morrisville.  According to the company, its more than 400 employees in the region will now work from RaleighHub.

The facility will optimize the firm’s regional footprint, and according to a statement reinforces the company’s commitment to the region.

A similar project in Nashville, launched in 2018, yielded a 67% reduction in energy usage, a 55% optimization in square footage, and a 12% increase in employee engagement in the year following the opening of the facility.

Workers are seeking work environments that provide modern, flexible ways to work, said Aamir Paul, president of North America operations for Schneider Electric, in a statement corresponding with the company’s launch event.

“Today’s workforce is changing, both in how and where we work,” said Paul.  “With the RaleighHub, we are responding by providing a flexible work environment to meet our team’s needs, while optimizing the facility itself for our business needs and our sustainability goals.”

The new facility includes research and development laboratories, customer training rooms, collaboration spaces, and workstations for employees, the company noted.

In addition, the building includes features that enable greater energy efficiency and control, the company noted.
