RALEIGH – The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) today announced Maggie Bizzell as its new Senior Communications Manager. In this role, Bizzell will oversee EDPNC’s media relations, which includes interviews and inquiries, press releases, project announcements and social media. She is replacing previous communications manager Mary Wilson.

Bizzell comes from the North Carolina Department of Information Technology, where she focused on internal communications, awareness and branding initiatives, and provided communications support for agency leadership, among other things. She is a graduate of Meredith College and holds an MPA from East Carolina University as well as a master’s degree in communications and public relations from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
