RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – IBM is going to consolidate its offices in New York City with a move to relocate thousands of employees to one office tower, according to a report in The New York Post.

The news outlet labeled the move”a monumental Manhattan upheaval.”

A lease was signed on Monday as part of IBM’s relocation to One Madison Avenue, a deal that involves 328,000 square feet, The Posted added,

One Madison is located across from Madison Square Park and East 23rd Street. The building is bein rennovated, The Post said, with construction set to be finished by November of 2023.

“As One Madison Avenue’s anchor tenant, IBM will occupy parts of floors two and seven, the entire eighth through tenth floors and a portion of the ground floor, where it will have its own lobby entrance,” The Posted added.

IBM operates one of its largest corporate campuses in RTP, owns Raleigh-based Red Hat, and employs thousands of people across North Carolina.
