GREENSBORO – Procter & Gamble, the publicly-traded company that manufacturers dozens of brands of consumer products, is expanding manufacturing capacity in Guilford County.

The company announced the expansion in a virtual ceremony held Tuesday.

Procter & Gamble will invest $110 million in an expansion project that is set to create an additional 46 jobs in Greensboro.  All jobs will be based at the company’s manufacturing facility in Greensboro, and the investment will add some 80,000 square feet of space to the facility.

“We are excited to expand our operations in Greensboro, in order to better meet demand for our products and serve our consumers,” said Plant Manager, Elke Feierabend, in a statement shared with WRAL TechWire on Tuesday.  “We are grateful to the Greensboro community for their continued support, and we look forward to many years of partnership and growth.”

The company was noted as an employer that is actively recruiting at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
