RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – RTI International has a new chief information officer. He’s Jorge Elguera, who most recently served as chief digital officer and CIO at Abt Associates.

RTI made the announcement Monday.

“Jorge is the strategic technology leader needed to guide RTI’s ongoing digital transformation,” said RTI President and CEO Wayne Holden in the announcement. “He is an important addition to the RTI executive leadership team who will help set the course for future digital innovation at the institute.”

RTI’s incoming CEO, Tim Gabel, added:  “Jorge will be a strong addition to our executive leadership team as we drive ahead on our digital transformation efforts, and the entire team is looking forward to welcoming him to RTI”

Elguera earned a Master of Business Administration in global leadership from University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires.

“I am thrilled to join RTI’s leadership team at an exciting time in the institute’s growth and look forward to leveraging my past experience as a technologist to support RTI’s mission.
