RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – After a temporary slowdown last month, the Triangle’s job market is back up and running as 2022 kicks off. Several major job boards show the addition of thousands of Triangle-area jobs over the last seven days.

Every week, WRAL TechWire tracks the total number of Triangle-area openings listed on top job boards.

  • Glassdoor, for example, shows over 1,000 positions added across the RTP area compared to this time last week.
  • Indeed.com has nearly 1,300 more jobs in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill than it did seven days ago.
  • Weekly totals increased on Dice.com, Adzuna and LinkedIn as well.

This trend marks a change from previous weeks, when we reported notable weekly drops amid uncertainties about the Omicron COVID-19 variant, as well as a natural slowdown in hiring activity due to the holiday season.

Economy adds only 199,000 jobs in Dec. – lowest increase in 2021

WRAL TechWire’s weekly Jobs Report compiles the latest information from the region’s top job boards, offering a breakdown of how many jobs are posted, which companies are hiring, and what positions are most in-demand. We’ve also included upcoming job fairs, student-centric resources, and a list of Twitter accounts that track local job openings.

Here’s what’s new since last week’s Jobs Report.
