RALEIGH – Three Triangle organizations are seeking to address the mismatch in the talent and labor markets in the Triangle, and have together launched a collaborative job board.

The organizations, Leadership Triangle, American Underground, and Raleigh Founded, announced the platform earlier this week, noting in a statement that though each organization already ran and managed individual job boards, they’ve decided to collaborate.

“In January we launched our jobs board and felt like it was a great asset to our community but would be even better with a broader reach,”  Jess Porta, the executive director of Raleigh Founded, said in an email announcement sent by Raleigh Founded to announce the initiative. “We hope that this jobs board will serve as a tool for individuals to find jobs and for companies in our communities to have a better, more specific reach than posting on a general jobs board.

Other Triangle organizations are supportive of the effort, too, noted Porta.  That includes CED, First Flight Venture Center, and the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, among others.

“We think this could be really catalytic in our ecosystem and we hope that other organizations will jump on board to expand the effort even further,” noted Porta.

Kristine Sloan, the executive director of Leadership Triangle, noted that there are more than 1,000 open jobs posted on the platform.

Many graduates of Leadership Triangle programs also lead companies and organizations in the Triangle, said Sloan.  “In our work with them, the ability to source and hire quality talent remains near the top of their priority list,” she added.

As of Thursday morning, the job board, a digital online platform searchable by company or by job role, listed 2,255 roles in the database.

“It’s an incredibly competitive hiring market right now, particularly for technical roles,” said Tim Scales, director of growth at the American Underground.  “The expectation is that it will continue to be challenging for some time, particularly as larger tech companies ramp up local hiring, and so supporting hiring efforts will be a central focus of the AU for the year ahead.”

Though anyone can search for jobs and apply to open positions, only members of Raleigh Founded, American Underground, or Leadership Triangle will be able to post open roles, the partners stated in their email announcing the release.

There is an exception: any company or organization that meets at least three of four criteria can also post jobs to the board.

The criteria?  First, must be locally owned or operated.  Second, must have women or people of color on the executive team.  Third, must employ 250 people or fewer.  Finally, the salary range for the role must be listed in the job description.

Each job on the combined job board is also listed on one or more of each organization’s job boards, which are:
