Entrepreneur to open podcast studio inside Cary co-working space

CARY – Podcasts are on the rise, but for some would-be hosts it’s not always easy to access the equipment.

“I know for a fact that finding locations to record is a sticking point,” said Angela Connor, CEO of Change Agent Communications, a PR firm based out of Raleigh.

“Show hosts are literally recording podcast episodes in their closets. Others create makeshift studios in a basement or spare room.”

However, that could all soon be a thing of the past.

Connor is set to open Triangle Podcast Studio based inside Office Evolution, a co-working space in Cary, in April.

“It’s my intention for this to be place where anyone in need of high-quality podcasting or other audio needs such as voiceovers, audio books and even commercial spots can find a studio home,” said Connor.

“From the entrepreneur and small business owner, to those producing corporate podcasts, assisting clients with podcasts and beyond — we will provide a space for solo casting and even group interviews.

Podcasts continue to grow at a rapid rate. It’s estimated there are now over 820,000 podcasts and over 28 million episode, according to PodcastHosting.org.

Around 16 million – and counting – are “avid postcast fans.”

“This is only going to grow, and Triangle Podcast Studio will grow with it,” Connor said.

“I’m going to create that space and an environment that breeds camaraderie, community and success.”
