More news and information for entrepreneurs to use in building and growing businesses is available from WRAL TechWire as we continue to make additions to our Triangle Startup Guide.
Also, be sure to check out our extensive calendar listings for December and January, plus our meetups list – all linked at the bottom of this post.
Every Monday, we’re sharing a digest of the changes and additions we make to the Triangle Startup Guide.
Here’s a quick summary of what we did last week:
- We updated the inspiration/advice/more sources section to include the First in Future Podcast, hosted by NC State University’s Institute for Emerging Issues. The podcast includes interviews with business leaders, entrepreneurs, elected officials, researchers and innovators who are helping lead North Carolina’s future. The latest episode features Brooks Raiford, present and CEO of the NC TECH Association.
- We updated the competitions/grants/more funding page to include a separate listing for NC IDEA’s MICRO grant program, which provides $10,000 in funding to each startup in its biannual cycle. Applications for the spring 2020 cycle are due March 2.
- We also added Duke University’s MEDx initiative to the competitions/grants/more funding section. MEDx offers a range of funding opportunities for students and faculty members with solutions to medical challenges. Several requests for proposals are out right now–the application deadlines are listed here.
Is there something you think the guide is missing? Feel free to send me an email or tweet me (@ShannonCuthrell) your suggestions and feedback.
