RALEIGH – Nuvoda, which specializes in innovative solutions in water and waste management, is having a bit of an executive shakeup.

Among the new appointments: Zain Mahmood as its new chief executive officer and Jason Calhoun as its new chief technology officer.

Mahmood has more than 25 years of experience developing and marketing industrial, manufacturing, and environmental technology solutions. He previously served as CEO of Parkson Corporation, another water/wastewater solutions provider and president of ICP Construction, a construction chemicals company Andover, Mass.

Meanwhile, Calhoun has served as the head of Business Development and Technology for Nuvoda for seven years and is also known as the “father” of the proprietary MOB® technology.

“Nuvoda is on the cusp of a significant commercial breakthrough,” Mahmood said in a statement. “The company’s unique MOB®(Mobile Organic BioFilm) process technology is taking off as a highly attractive, sustainable option for water and wastewater treatment facilities in the U.S. and around the world. Our goal is to identify key markets and position Nuvoda for significant growth in those markets.”
