RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – GlaxoSmithKline has sold 105 acres of land in RTP to Charlotte developer The Keith Corp., which plans to develop a corporate campus on the property.
The Triangle Business Journal reported the deal Monday, citing a press release from Keith Corp., which is an active developer in the Triangle.
The campus will include office and lab space, according to the news release.
The firm describes itself as a “single-tenant net lease, build-to-suit developer and now handles development, investment services, property management, tenant representation and brokerage.” It does not yet have a tenant for the new site, however.
The property is near IBM’s campus in RTP on Cornwallis Road.
“We really like the location,” Bill Baker of The Keith Corp. told the newspaper. “It’s one of the larger sites in RTP now. It does give us a lot of flexibility to do a headquarters-type campus.”
The firm notes that it “has completed projects in every region of the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom for companies ranging from multinational Fortune 500 corporations to young entrepreneurial companies.”
