MORRISVILLE –Global Mobile Finance Inc., which has created a moblie app that lets users transfer money to Africa, has raised $100,000 in a debt raise, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Morrisville-based company’s first product is geeRemit, which it describes as a “relationship-driven remittance mobile app for Africa.”

The company says geeRemit helps develop “deep customer relationships, facilitating innovative recurring transactions and loyalty.”

The app is based on blockchain technology, which enables remittance transfers that are low-cost, fast, and highly secure, according to the company.

Sandra Johnson, an electrical engineer who has over 40 pending and issued patents, is CEO.
