GREENSBORO — Guerrilla RF Inc., a telecommunications product manufacturer, has raised $1.8 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Guerrilla RF produces monolithic microwave integrated circuits for the wireless infrastructure market.
The company was founded in 2013 by Ryan Pratt, currently the chief executive officer.
Prior to Guerilla RF, Pratt worked as the design center director for Skyworks from 2006 to 2013. He worked as the design engineering manager at RFMD from 2006 to 2008.
He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.
The telecommunications company announced the closing of a $2 million Series B funding round, led by two angel investors, in May 2015. This followed the closing of a $500,000 funding round, led by Charlotte Angel Fund, in February 2015.
Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.
