Firefly Media, a provider of design marketing, branding and other services, is raising a $500,000 round of capital.

According to a securities filing, Firefly has closed on $261,901 with six investors participating in the round to date.

The funding is all equity. No minimum amount was required from investors, the filing says.

The Chapel Hill-based company launched in 2009 and raised $327,545 in 2013.

Tiana Gustafson founded the firm, Crunchbase notes.

The latest SEC filing is signed by CEO Kristen Judd, who according to her LinkedIn profile co-founded and served as CEO of 3 Birds Marketing.

Layton Judd, her co-founder at 3 Birds, also signed the new Firefly Media filing.

“As the CEO and Co-Founder of 3 Birds Marketing, I am responsible for ensuring that our team executes on the vision and strategy established by the founders and that we meet or exceed revenue and growth projections,” Judd says in her LinkedIn profile.

“The sales, marketing, content, account management and creative departments report to me and I work directly with Co-Founder, Layton Judd, on business development opportunities and directing the ongoing development of our software application. I also make sure that there is food in the kitchen and that the members of our staff who ride bikes to work remember to wear their helmets. What can I say, I’m a mom too.”
