Less than a year after raising $14 million, including backing from a Silicon Valley investor, fast-growing Zift Solutions is making another major addition to its management team.

Zift, a provider of channel marketing and management solutions, on Monday disclosed the hiring of industry veteran Laz Gonzalez as its chief strategy officer.

“After eight years an analyst covering the B2B channel marketplace, I [have] joined Zift Solutions as Chief Strategy Officer so that I can work directly with clients to drive adoption and share best practices as they implement the world’s leading channel marketing and management solution,” Gonzalez wrote in at LinkedIn.

Will Sendall, former chief financial officer at Bronto software and an ex-Red Hat executive, joined Zift as its chief financial officer in April.

The additions come after Zift landed the $14 million in September 2015, including the Valley’s Arrowroot Capital. The company lists Red Hat and Oracle as two of its customers.

“No one know the Channel Marketing and Manage space better than Laz Gonzalez and we are truly honored the chose Zift Solutions,” Zift CEO Ken Romley said in announcing the hire.

Extensive resume

A former IBMer, Gonzalez brings a lengthy resume to Zift.

His most recent position was Service Director, Channel Management Strategies at SiriusDecisions for nearly eight years., “providing B-2-B companies actionable research and advisory services to help them optimize their channel sales and marketing efforts.”

At Zift, Gonzales will be tasked to “work directly with the company’s current customers, combining his industry insight and expertise with Zift’s technology and data to ensure Zift users are well positioned to take full advantage of all available opportunities,” Zift said.
