Truman Semans has two decades of experience in the clean tech movement, including years running sustainability consulting practices and a stint as director of the Pew Center on Global Climate Change.
He’s also a former economist at the US Treasury, and for the last seven years has co-led the U.S. Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance.
Now he’s applying all that knowledge to help investors like foundations, hedge and pension funds and money managers consider climate change and hundreds of other factors as they make investment decisions. His new FinTech/analytics company is called Intersect Project and it just finished a prototype and closed its first round of funding.
The Duke University graduate shared his vision with American Underground teams at a recent HelpFest event at the Durham startup campus.
