CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Red Ventures, an Internet marketing and sales firm, plans to add 1,000 jobs and double the size of its headquarters in suburban Charlotte over the next five years.

The company already employs some 1,500 people in Fort Mill, S.C. and offices in Texas, Florida and Wilmington, N.C. About two thirds of those are based at the headquarters where employment has already increased this year. A year ago it disclosed plans to expand headcount by some 500.

Red Ventures disclosed the latest expansion plans Tuesday.

The expansion includes the purchase of 16 acres of land adjacent to its current headquarters.

“We are thrilled to be able to add this adjacent land to our campus. The next few years will be full of challenges and opportunities and we are hoping to double the size of our current workforce,” said Red Ventures Chief Executive Officer Ric Elias. “This additional land will allow us to grow, while also maintaining the unique, employee-friendly environment we’ve created.”

Red Ventures, which said it anticipated 30 percent growth this year, works with clients to market and sell services through its proprietary technology.

The company already offers employees a variety of perks at the headquarters, including an indoor basketball court, track, fitness center, putting green and a cafe which offers subsidized meals.
