MCNC to ‘Think Big’ at NCREN Community Day 2012

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – NCREN Community Day 2012 is scheduled on Nov. 15-16 at Elon University.

This is the first time the event has been held outside of the Triangle celebrating the North Carolina Research and Education Network, or NCREN.

Topics planned for this year’s annual event organized by MCNC will highlight the cutting-edge projects being worked on right now within the NCREN user community and focus on the future of big data and broadband, health care, K-20 education, video, cloud computing, fiber expansion, shared services, and more.

A capacity crowd is expected once again as more than 300 top education, government, and technology industry leaders are expected to attend this year.
