High-tech firm Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS), which plans to create 337 additional jobs in Raleigh as part of its growing ShareFile operation, plans to use 130,000 square feet of office space in the warehouse district of Raleigh.
The office location will be 120 South West Street in the former headquarters of Dillon Supply Company.
The new complex also will include a parking garage.
Citrix, a $2.2 billion company, acquired Raleigh-based ShareFile last October.
“Citrix ShareFile is proud to have had a successful first six years building our business in North Carolina. We started as a two-person operation to what has now become a 200-person division of one of the leading technology companies in the world,” said Jesse Lipson, vice president and general manager for data sharing at Citrix. “This move to downtown Raleigh marks an exciting new chapter in our business and an amazing opportunity for Citrix to attract top talent from a vibrant tech community and prestigious universities.”
Lipson was founder of ShareFile.
The company disclosed plans for the Raleigh expansion in June and said it would invest $12.5 million as part of the expansion.
The new headquarters is expected to be completed next year.
Citrix will base its development center for data sharing products in Raleigh.
“The company’s new facility will retain the classic urban style of the original warehouse environment, while being outfitted with the latest technology to facilitate workshifitng, collaboration and teamwork,” Citrix said in the announcement.
“Citrix is also planning for amenities and resources to inspire employee creativity, innovation and healthy workstyles including a rooftop garden, yoga studio and indoor/outdoor dining.”
