RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – It’s become quite popular to trash American newspapers, but here’s an example of some fine work done about a company with strong Triangle roots.


The San Jose Mercury News recently published a top-drawer package of two stories – one on defending the home turf, another on sales efforts in rural areas – about the world’s No. 2 PC maker, which operates its executive headquarters in Morrisville but is largely based in China.

How good are they?
