StepLeader is beefing up its management team for further efforts to expand its market share in mobile technology and smart TV.

The Raleigh-based firm, which recently was spun off from parent Captiol Broadcasting’s CBC New Media Group, names Chris Hamburger as vice president of business development.

Hamburger most recently worked with SAS after the Cary-based software company acquired Raleigh-based advertising technology firm aiMatch.

“Chris is a proven sales leader with a strong background, not only in closing deals but in developing and maintaining great relationships in the advertising technology space,” Brian Handly, StepLeader’s chief executive officer, said. “He has shown the ability to adapt to change and quickly come up to speed on new technology and advertising mediums. I have known Chris for years and his integrity is beyond reproach.”

Hamburger will be tasked with maintaining as well as adding partners for StepLeader.

At aiMatch he was vice president for global sales. Hamburger also has worked for TrackSimple, aQuantive, Accipiter Solutions, Identity Software and Aerotek.
