Overture, a global provider of Ethernet-based services designed to speed up conventional communications networks, is teaming up with Spirit Communications for a broadband effort across the Carolinas.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Spirit will utilize Overture technology to improve its own network. Its new “Elite Ethernet” will offer businesses service ranging from three to 10 megabits per second.
“Since launching Business Elite this past year, we have seen a increase in the number of customers we’re signing and we’re very much encouraged by this growth,” said Greg Guerra, Spirit’s executive vice president of Strategy, Product Management and Business Development. “Clearly, there are some logistical advantages to be working with a local company like Overture, but more importantly, our success is based on a shared passion for delivering unmatched service and support to our customers as we work together to build out Spirit’s network.”
Overture works with some 450 communications providers worldwide.
