From receptions and breakfasts to tailgating and a Durham Bulls game, the Nanotechnology Commercialization Conference in Durham next week aims to link dealmakers, inventors and entrepreneurs.

The two-day event features plenty of panel discussions and presentations about the latest trends and opportunities in the nanotechnology industry.

But since the theme of the event is commercialization – turning the industry of the small into big businesses – the organizers have packed in plenty of time for talk and deal-making away from the Bay 7 venue at the American Tobacco Historic District.

The conference is April 4-5 but the deal making could begin at a reception set for Tuesday night at the Center of Innovation for Nanobiotechnology’s (COIN) headquarters in Durham.

COIN is co-hosting the conference along with the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
