SJF Ventures, which maintains an office in Durham, is landing some big names for its new SJF Ventures III investment fund.
The venture firm, which focuses on cleantech and other sustainable company startups, said Thursday that Citi Community Capital was among the first round of investors for SJF Ventures III.
Citi Community Capital is the community development, lending and investment group of Citi.
Other investors include: Deutsche Bank, Calvert Equity Portfolio, Armonia, Abacus Sustainable Fund, Trillium Asset Management LLC, The CAPROCK Group, OpenBox, ImpactAssets, as well as individuals.
SJF is looking to raise $75 million, having raised $17 million and $28 million in its first two funds, according to data from The Triangle Business Journal.
SJF has made 34 investments through its first two funds over the past 12 years.
