Former NBC News anchor and author Tom Brokaw, Red Hat Chief Executive Officer Jim Whitehurst and Verne Harnishj, founder and CEO of Gazelles Inc., headline the program for the General Hugh Shelton leadership Forum at NC State.

The forum, which is in its 10th year, is set for Friday at the McKimmon Center.

The theme is “Promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship: A Values-Based Leadership Approach.”

Whitehurst, who was recruited by Shelton to become CEO at Red Hat, will speak about leadership in the information age starting at 8:45 a.m.

Harnish speaks at 10:15 a.m. and Brokaw talks at 11 a.m.

An afternoon session from 2-3 p.m. will feature Harnish and Triangle area entrepreneurs.

Shelton is a retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
