Manoj George, a former chief financial officer at two of the Triangle’s best-known tech success stories, is the new chief executive officer at a California-based financial services firm.
George on Tuesday was named CEO at Nair & Co., which provides outsource CFO and other services to companies. Nair is based in Sunnyvale, Calif. George replaces Dr. Shan Nair, the firm;s co-founder, who remains a member of the firm’s board. Nair noted in the announcement that George had worked with the company as a consultant since 2008.
The firm offers finance, compliance, human resources and legal services to more than 1,000 clients in more than 50 countries. Nair has primary offices in the U.K., China, India, Japan, Singapore and the U.S.
In previous ventures, George was CFO at Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) and at art.com.

At Red Hat, Manoj helped organize its initial public offering, participated in nine acquisitions and also helped establish Red Hat’s subscription revenue model for Linux related services.
