• LabCorp again extends offer for Orchid Cellmark

BURLINGTON, N.C. – LabCorp (NYSE: LH) extended again on Monday its tender for shares of Orchid Cellmark (Nasdaq: ORCH), this time through Nov. 4.

The tender was set to expire on Oct. 7. The deal continues to be reviewed by the Federal Trade Commission.

• Scynexis lands reseller deal for drug discovery system

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Scynexis has landed a reseller for its drug discovery platform known as HEOS, or Hit Explorer Operating System.

San Diego-based Accelrys (Nasdaq: ACCL) will offer the Scynexis product.
