The Council for Entrepreneurial Development hopes to provide entrepreneurs and executives in the Triangle insight into what’s coming in this turbulent economy with an economic forum on Sept. 8.

Titled “Emerging Trends in Innovation and Capital,” the program will feature a senior economist at Wells Fargo, life science and tech exec from Wells Fargo, a Nasdaq exec and a Silicon Valley attorney.

“Every now and then, we offer one-of-a-kind programs like these,” said CED President Joan Siefert Rose. “It’s an opportunity to offer timely insight, drawing on the expertise and resources in our network.

“Given the interest in the economic climate, we thought it would be worthwhile to bring in people with their pulse on national trends that impact entrepreneurs who are driving innovation locally,” she added.

The program lasts from 3:30-7 p.m. and will take place at Bay 7 in the American Tobacco Historic District.

Speakers committed for the event are:

• Mark Vitner, managing director and senior economist, Wells Fargo.

• Al Kenrick, senior vice president and regional manager of the Wells Fargo Growth Technology and Life Science Group in Palo Alto, Calif.

• David Frazee, a partner in the Palo Alto, Calif., office of K & L Gates LLP.

• Joseph Brantuk, vice president of new listings, Nasdaq OMX.
