Laboratory Corporation of America (NYSE: LH) and the David H. Murdock Research Institute are going to be working together to develop new lab testing services.
LabCorp’s Esoterix Clinical Trials Services group is partnering with the Institute, which is based at the N.C. Biotechnology Campus in Salisbury.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The partnership will focus on development and commercialization of new tests and use of biomarker assays.
“With the addition of DHMRI’s discovery capabilities, LabCorp offers its clinical trials clients the most complete suite of biomarker development tools in the industry,” said Dr. David Johnston, head of Clinical Trials at LabCorp, in a statement. “Our collaboration with DHMRI exemplifies our strong commitment to providing cutting-edge services to our clients.”
