Frederic “Rick” Sax, a veteran life sciences executive, is the new senior vice president and global leader for Quintiles’ Integrated Clinical Services division.
Quintiles is the world’s largest clinical trial and life sciences services firm.
The Quintiles group works with clients to speed up clinical trials and provides other services.
“Rick’s deep and broad experience in biopharma gives him a solid understanding of the challenges that our customers face in the New Health,” said Paula Brown Stafford, president of Quintiles Clinical Development. “He will help our customers navigate challenges and seize opportunities through the delivery of integrated clinical trial services that help customers reduce overall study costs, proactively manage quality, simplify trial management and accelerate development.”
New Health is Quintiles’ marketing term for its suite of services.
Sax was vice president of clinical design strategies for AstraZeneca. He also has worked for Merck Research Laboratories.
A cardiologist by training, Sax received his MD from Columbia University.
