Hubert de Pesquidoux, a veteran financial executive, is the new chairman of the board at Tekelec (Nasdaq: TKLC).

De Pesquidoux, who has been a board member at the telecommunications gear and software firm for the past two years, succeeds Mark Floyd. Floyd did not stand for re-election. He announced in February his plans to step down. 

The company has been in a state of transition since Chief Executive Officer Frank Plastina resigned in January. (Read details here.)

“Hubert’s broad international experience and telecom knowledge will be of immense help as Tekelec transitions to a new CEO and the company continues to execute its long-term strategy of building solutions to address the growth in mobile data and video,” said Krish Prabhu, the company’s interim CEO.

De Pesquidoux is a former chief financial officer at Alcatel-Lucent. He held a variety of executive roles at the company over almost 20 years. Including president of the Enterprise Business Group.
