Lawyers representing former GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) lawyer Lauren Stevens, filed for a dismissal of the federal obstruction case against her, saying Monday that prosecutors have not proved their case.

The judge who is handling the trial in Maryland could issue a ruling today, according to the Corporate Counsel news service.

Prosecutors rested their case on Friday.

Stevens, a former in-house counsel for GSK, was charged with making false statements and obstructing an FDA investigation into the use of the GSK drug Wellbutrin.
