KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Billionaire David Murdock, the founder of the N.C. Research Campus, says he is living proof that a strict, good diet can help people live longer.

In fact, the 87-year-old owner of Dole Food, told The New York Times Magazine that he wants to live to 125.

“I never have anything go wrong,” he told writer Frank Bruni. “I never have a backache. Never have a headache. Never have anything else.”

Food and diet are key points of focus for the research campus.
