Small Business Administration officials will kick off a series of roundtables to hear from entrepreneurs in Durham on March 3.

A series of meetings are planned, including a stop in Atlanta.

One of the initiative’s biggest supporters is Ping Fu, CEO at RTP-based Geomagic. Read details here.

The roundtables are part of the Obama Administration’s “Startup America” initiative.

The meetings in eight cities are designed to solicit feedback from entrepreneurs about opportunities and obstacles in starting new businesses.

The second stop is scheduled for Austin, Texas on March 12.

Other cities and areas on the tour, with dates still to be determined are: Boston, Silicon Valley, Pittsburg, Minneapolis and Boulder, Colo.
