Epic Games’ executive Tim Sweeney demonstrated the company’s “Epic Citadel” and its Unreal 3 game engine running on Sony’s new PlayStation portable device known as the NGP, or Next Generation Portable.

Epic was one of just more than 80 companies who showed up to show how their companies can develop gaming content for the NGP. It was unveiled Thursday.

The Game Informer and Wired both reported about Epic’s presentation.

Epic turned Citadel into a big-selling game for the iPad and other portable devices called “Infinity Blade.”
