If you can’t wait for the violence-filled, blood-and-gore shoot-’em-up video game title from Epic Games, a sample at Xbox Live and a video preview at YouTube may whet your appetite.

“Bulletsotrm,” touted as “kill with skill in style” hits store shelves on Feb. 22, and a sample at Xbox Live plus a new video trailer out Tuesday offer enough of the violence to come to make some viewers blanche.

Consider yourselves warned.

Here’s how GameRant describes Bulletstorm:

“If you love cursing, crude humor, and stories that are more ridiculous and hilarious than realistic, then hopefully you’ve already heard of Bulletstorm. the upcoming shooter from Epic Games and People Can Fly is making it clear that combining the gruesome violence of Gears of War with the attitude and irreverence of the filthiest frat movies is a winning combination. The latest trailer shows a bit more of the story and characters that we’ll be getting to know, and yes, even more footage of bosses, weapons, and the always-enticing skillshots.”

The Cary-based company, its subsidiary People Can Fly and publisher Electronic Arts say Bulletstorm will offer three game modes: single player, “Anarchy” for multi-player and “Echo,” which tracks and compares players’ scores.

Here’s how Epic describes the action:

“The Bulletstorm demo introduces a slice of Echo mode in which players traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt. Players will utilize the ‘Skillshot’ system in Bulletstorm as they crush enemies in increasingly creative ways to rack up points using an arsenal of powerful weapons, from a futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.”
