Quintiles, the world’s largest life sciences services company, now offers Phase I research services in India.
The company said Monday it has opened an 86-bed facility in Hyderabad. Thirty-two of the beds are equipped with cardiology diagnostic equipment.
The facility will test patients with compounds developed in India as well as other countries/ Data will be linked to Quintiles’ other Phase I facilities in the US, Sweden and United Kingdom.
Quintiles worked with Apollo Hospitals Group in launching the unit.
The company also has facilities in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai.
In December, Quintiles opened its first data center, which is also located in India.
