PowerSecure International (Nasdaq: POWR) beat Wall Street estimates with a profit of 3 cents per share on revenues of $31.4 million in the third quarter, the company reported Thursday.

Analysts expected a 2cent profit.

Revenues climbed 13.3 percent from a year ago for the company, which provides power supply backup, energy efficiency and other technology.

PowerSecure also reported a record order backlog of $138 million.

POWR shares closed up 42 cents, or 4.5 percent, at $9.86.
