GlaxoSmithKline’s non-executive Chairman Sir Christopher Gent is among a group of business leaders in the U.K. that signed a letter that supports budget cuts by the government.
Gent and others said in the letter .that the cuts are necessary to prevent further increases in the costs of borrowing.
The coalition government is expected to unveil some $133 billion in spending reductions on Wednesday.
The letter was published in the Daily Telegraph.
GSK is based in London and maintains its U.S. headquarters in RTP.
