RALEIGH, N.C. – Fast growing , a provider of web-based secure file transfer software and services, has topped the 1.5 million user mark.

The privately held firm ranks No. 104 on the most recent Inc. 500 list for fastest growing companies. Over three years, ShareFile revenues have soared more than 2,400 percent to $4.3 million. ShareFile reported $169,530 in revenues just three years ago and employs 29 people, according to Inc.

On Tuesday, ShareFile updated its growth statistics, noting that it now has more than 11,000 corporate customers spread across 120 countries. ShareFile also claims “many” Fortune 500 companies as customers.

In addition to the large file exchange technology, ShareFile also offers virtual data rooms, or software portals in which authorized users can access documents.

"ShareFile was founded to effectively serve a significant unmet market need for a secure, purpose-built file sharing solution designed specifically for business users," said Jesse Lipson, chief executive officer at ShareFile.

"We’re continuously looking to our customers for feedback in order to improve our products and deliver the tools and features that will not only meet, but exceed their business needs and expectations,” he added. “The updates and enhancements made to the desktop widget and web-based file sharing solution are a direct result of the input we received from our growing roster of clients."
