RALEIGH, N.C. – Citing multiple sources, the Triangle Business Journal reported Friday that Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) is looking for more office space.

The newspaper also says Red Hat officials have visited with Georgia Tech officials in Atlanta and the University of Texas in Austin, raising the possibility that the world’s top Linux software developer and services provider could move its headquarters.

Red Hat is based at North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus and could seek more space there as the campus continues to grow, the Journal noted.
