MORRISVILLE, N.C. – Lenovo’s new “Lephone” smart phone is holding its own so far in China.

PC World reported Friday that the world’s No. 4 PC maker, which is based in Morrisville but has most of its operations and sales in China, has sold 100,000 of its phones over the past three months

The number is similar to new Apple iPhone sales in China.

Lenovo, which also for PC sales earlier this week, reacquired its mobile phone business as part of a new strategy focused on mobile Internet access.
