RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Veteran executive Peter Ginsberg is joining the as vice president for business and technology development.

Ginsberg has recently served as a consultant with life science and medical device firms. He also is a former vice president for business development and strategic planning at drug delivery firm SurModics. Ginsberg has 20 years of experience in healthcare and finance.

For three years at Deephaven Capital Management, he oversaw healthcare investments. Ginsberg also workfed for six years as a biotech analyst at Piper Jaffray.

“As we move into our next 25 years of international biotechnology leadership, we continue to evolve and create new ways to sustain promising young companies on which North Carolina pins its future,” said Ken Tindall, senior vice president for science and business development at the Biotech Center. “Peter brings a level of expertise that will serve us well going forward.”

Ginsberg is a graduate of Princeton University and earned an MBA at Dartmouth.
