To help entrepreneurs better understand the NC IDEA process, it is on Aug. 18.
NC IDEA, which is focused on economic development, is looking for information technology, medical devices and material sciences startups.
Since 2006, NC IDEA has awarded $1.7 million in grants to 47 companies.
