RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Online registration opens Monday for Local Tech Wire’s set for Aug. 12, headlined for Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. But you can reserve your spot today.
People wanting more details about the event as soon as available should e-mail Joyce Kohn (jkohn@kohnassociates.net).
Firms interested in sponsorship should also contact Kohn (jkohn@kohnassociates.net).
Tickets ($50 for the all-day event, including lunch) will go on sale Monday.
Local Tech Wire, in partnership with venture capital firms Intersouth Partners and Southern Capitol Ventures, will host the event at the American Tobacco Historic District’s Bay 7. It is the latest program in LTW’s Executive Exchange program.
Forbes calls Cuban the "Dot-Com Billionaire," and in the words of Young Money he is the "coolest billionaire." And Triangle executives and entrepreneurs will have ample time to talk with one of the brightest entrepreneurs who turned ideas and products into global success in the Internet-driven "dot-com" boom.
The program follows a private, separate breakfast with Cuban available to sponsors.
The panel discussion about trends will kick off the regular program followed by a keynote address by Cuban and then a further Q&A in which the audience can engage one of the Net’s best-known success stories.
Cuban built Internet company Broadcast.com, which he sold to Yahoo! In 1999 for $5.7 billion.
Triangle entrepreneurs who have built their own successful businesses and venture capitalists will share the stage with Cuban.
The entrepreneurs and VCs will participate in a panel session with Cuban. An extensive Q&A involving the audience will follow, giving attendees a chance to talk about how to grow businesses, especially in a tough economic climate.
