RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Asheville, Hickory and Greenville, S.C. are among the latest metro areas that now have 4G wireless broadband service from T-Mobile.

The 4G service had already been available in the Triad.

T-Mobile added some 50 metro areas to its growing 4G coverage area on Tuesday. The company, which is based in Bellevue, Wash., and has nearly 34 million subscribers in the U.S., plans to service 100 metro areas and reach a potential customer base of 185 million people by the end of 2010.
