CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) is leveraging its solar power project being built in San Antonio, Texas, for $45 million in additional financing.
Duke is lining up backing for further expansion of its clean energy-related projects.
The $45 million is related to a 14-megawatt project and is covered by a 25-year loan agreement. When completed, the site will include 214,500 ground-mounted solar panels.
Last month, Duke secured $375 million in loans and letters of credit linked to five of its windfarm projects.
