RALEIGH, N.C. – Basefarm, a European-based provider of Internet-related services, has switched its central operating system to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Financial terms were not disclosed. (NYSE: RHT) is the world’s top Linux developer and services provider.

Baseform formerly used CentOS.

“Red Hat’s subscription model provides us with both a strong technology base and the reliable support and certifications that we need in order to keep our critical business operations running smoothly,” said Bjart Kvarme, Basefarm’s chief technology officer.

The company is also now certified as a Red Hat Managed Services Partner.
