RALEIGH, N.C. – ABRY Partners, the owner of information infrastructure services provider , is selling one of its ventures which also delivers data center services.

The private equity firm said Thursday it is selling Houston-based CyrusOne to Cincinnati Bell (NYSE: CBB) for some $525 million in cash.

ABRY two years ago for $140 million.

The Texas deal doesn’t affect Hosted, according to Noreen Allen, Hosted’s vice president for media relations.

“It has no effect on us,” Allen told LTW and WRAL.com. “They are a private equity firm and own lots of companies.”

Hosted operates data centers in Raleigh and Cary, two in Charlotte and another in suburban Boston. It generated $58 million in revenue in 2009, up 86 percent from 2008, according to ABRY and Cincinnati Bell’s announcement.

CyrusOne will operate as a subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell. It maintains data centers in Houston, Dallas and Austin.

ABRY Partners is based in Boston.
